Now the whole 'art outpost' idea is starting to come to head. I'm working on finalizing the designs, and what they could be. Spoke with Michael this week about the project. Starting to think about using some of the marble-type look into the outposts to make a connection to the Spencer. Also, juxtaposing this with some type of 'Koan" or visual paradox. Taken from Zen teachings (The Sound of One Hand Clapping, etc.), the idea is to get someone to break out of habit, and in this case stop and look at what you are showing them. Color, light, imagery, etc. are all ways this could be done.
I think that this idea was well represented by the Dadaists, Surrealists and Claus Oldenberg.

Now if I can just stop quoting artists and do some of my own!
